More about BubbleThe story behind Bubble Read the full story
Before Bubble launched a single product, its founder spent two years asking teenagers questions. Shai Eisenman, a serial entrepreneur who started university at fifteen, kept noticing that young people were stuck buying the same drugstore skincare their parents and grandparents had used, priced out of and intimidated by prestige beauty. Independent research she commissioned turned up the numbers that built the company: a large share of teens were using decades-old drugstore brands, most shopped in physical stores rather than online, and a striking proportion went to one big-box retailer once or twice a month. So when Bubble debuted in November 2020, it skipped the prestige-counter playbook entirely and went where its customers already were.
In June 2021 the brand rolled into thousands of Walmart doors, then expanded to Ulta, CVS, Target, Boots in the UK, and beyond, more than twelve thousand stores across North America. The proposition is consistent: gentle, plant-forward, prestige-style formulas with playful packaging, every product under twenty dollars. Crucially, no single product dominates the line; the brand built a full routine rather than one viral hero. By its fifth anniversary in 2025 it had reportedly crossed the hundred-million-dollar mark and broadened its appeal well beyond Gen Z.
The honest read: Bubble's real achievement is access. It met a genuinely underserved audience with affordable, sensibly formulated, fragrance-conscious products, and it listened to that community in a way the category mostly hadn't. The hype-aware caveat is that its identity is built on social-native aesthetics and community marketing as much as on chemistry, and as it increasingly leans on "science-backed" and "clinical efficacy" language, it's worth remembering the formulas are competent drugstore-tier, which is exactly the point, rather than clinically distinctive, with limited independent validation behind the newer claims. For its target user, that's not a knock; it's the whole value proposition delivered well.

More about Bubble
Founded in 2020 by Shai Eisenman, Bubble is an affordable, Gen-Z-focused skincare brand that grew rapidly across mass retail; its plant-forward formulas are well-reviewed for the price, though its growing 'science-backed' and 'clinical' claims rest largely on brand-led rather than independent peer-reviewed validation.
