Town Square
Where residents compare notes. Here's what's pinned up this week.
Live polls
Twelve products almost everyone has met. Open one, answer in a tap or two, and the live result opens right beside your answer.
Live tallies count readers who chose to answer, from the very first answer, so early numbers swing. They show here on the Square only; on each product page the result opens at 25 answers, beside the verdict and never inside it.

Product polls
Every product page carries a reader poll, right under the verdicts. It asks one question: have you used it? You can answer that you use it now, used it before, are thinking about it, or that it isn't for you. One tap counts, and you don't need an account or a skin profile.
If you used it, a few optional questions follow: how it went (improved, no change, worse, or too early to tell), what you used it for, for how long, and whether you would buy it again. If you are still deciding, you can say what is holding you back.
Once 25 people have answered for a product, everyone sees the result beside the verdict: how it went for the readers who used it, how many would buy it again, and what stops people before they buy. A concern gets its own line once 25 readers have named it.
- 1Open any product page and find the poll under the verdicts.
- 2Tap one answer. Add more if you like, or stop there.
- 3At 25 answers, the result appears for everyone.
- 4Or answer one of the live polls above, where the tally shows at once.
House rules
- Anyone can answer. No account and no skin profile needed. Your profile, if you have one, only pre-selects the concern you'd most likely pick.
- One voice each. One answer per person, per product. Answering again replaces your answer; it never adds a second one.
- Nothing shows below 25 on a product page. A handful of answers is noise, so a product page shows no result and no count until 25 people have answered. The threshold is enforced on our server.
- Live polls say they are live. The twelve live polls on the Square show their tally from the first answer, labelled as early numbers. Nowhere else does.
- Beside the verdict, never inside it. A verdict is reached from the evidence. What residents report sits next to it, labelled as theirs, and does not change it.
- No brand can buy a say. No brand can add, remove, delay or reorder what residents report.
- Your answers stay yours. They are kept with your account or this device, and counted only in anonymous totals. Deleting your account deletes the answers made under it.
