A gentle, low-dose retinol emulsion and a sensible 3 percent niacinamide-ceramide gel that mix at the pump — a decent beginner's retinol at thirty-one dollars, once you translate the box. The '1% retinol' and '9% peptide' describe diluted raw materials, not actives; the fragrance, alcohol and two dyes are odd choices for a retinoid; and the pump that makes the format work is its weakest part. Worth it for a first retinol on normal skin, not for anyone chasing the numbers on the label.

A comfortable, shea-rich moisturizer from the Kans of a few years ago — before the brand had its own cyclic peptide — carrying a licensed-peptide stack led by copper tripeptide-1 and a grape-seed antioxidant set. Dry and normal skin get a genuinely pleasant cream; the expression-line trio and firming peptides are at accent levels, the line is thinning out of Western stock, and no reliable price could be found, which makes it a nice thing to own rather than a thing to hunt.
