Yunth Pure AZ Control Serum box of single-dose azelaic acid serum packets Azelaic Acid, Ceramide-Wrapped
Yunth serum

Pure AZ Control Serum

One of the more convincing azelaic acid serums on the cosmetic market: a stated 15% dose, listed right after water, in a soft, ceramide-rich lotion that avoids the grittiness of many azelaic products. It is well suited to redness, breakouts and oiliness. The drawbacks are price outside Japan, sachet waste and the tingle azelaic acid brings.

Yunth Pure VA Derma Serum box of single-dose retinol and niacinamide packets Starter Retinol in Sachets
Yunth serum

Pure VA Derma Serum

A carefully gentle introduction to retinol that relies on niacinamide, Japan's approved wrinkle-improvement active, for most of the work. Single-dose packets keep the retinol fresh and the dose fixed. It is easy to tolerate and sensibly built, but the retinol is modest and undisclosed, and buying it outside Japan is costly.

Yunth VA Eye Serum rose-gold airless pen with soft applicator tip Retinol Starter for Crow's Feet
Yunth eye cream

VA Eye Serum

A gentle, well-packaged entry into eye-area retinol, with Japan's registered wrinkle active niacinamide doing most of the work and a small dose of retinol in support. The airless pen and soft applicator make it pleasant to use. It is expensive for 10ml, though, and the retinol is too modest to satisfy anyone hoping for dramatic change.

Yunth Multi Square Sheet Mask tub of 120 pink square sheets Three-Minute Morning Mask
Yunth mask

Multi Square Sheet Mask

A smart, good-value tub of tearable square pads that turns a sheet mask into a three-minute morning step. The essence is well balanced, with humectants, vitamin C, mandelic acid and ceramides, and it leaves skin plump and ready for makeup. Don't expect it to fade dark spots, and keep the lid tight.

Yunth Fusion Cleansing gel oil in a pink pump bottle beside its box Wet-Hands Gel Oil
Yunth cleanser

Fusion Cleansing

An excellent, gentle makeup remover in the Japanese gel-oil format: fragrance-free, silicone-free, usable with wet hands and effective on waterproof mascara. Its long roster of serum actives is mostly decoration in a rinse-off, so buy it for the cleansing, not the azelaic acid. Import pricing is the main drawback.

Yunth Pure Vitamin C Cleansing Cream in a pink and white 120g tube Makeup Melt With a Signal
Yunth cleanser

Pure Vitamin C Cleansing Cream

A pleasant, effective cream-to-oil makeup remover with a clever melting-capsule cue and a gentle, glycerin-rich finish. Its real strengths are mineral oil and a good rinse-off emulsifier, not its vitamin C. Citrus oil makes it a weaker pick for sensitive skin, and it has become hard to find outside Japan.

Yunth Pure Vitamin C Sheet Mask pink seven-sheet pouch Vitamin C Mask for Every Day
Yunth mask

Pure Vitamin C Sheet Mask

A rare sheet mask that takes vitamin C seriously: pure ascorbic acid high in the formula, a penetration enhancer beside it, and niacinamide and arbutin for support, at a price low enough for daily use. It brightens the look of skin quickly. It is still a ten-minute mask, though, and won't replace a leave-on vitamin C serum.
